DimSumKing express: Fresh Cantonese Dim Sum & Noodle Delights in Houston

This place is a must try for dim sum. They serve dim sum all day, 7 days a week. It's self service style, and you only pay for what you order, no tipping concept. It's a quaint place with plenty of seating available. We enjoyed everything we ordered and Kelvin was the most welcoming person ever. He explained their concept and was so friendly. His customer service really hit it home. We came in at 8pm, they close at 9pm and he told us not to worry, stay as long as we want and don't rush. He checked on us multiple times too. The food was really good and they offer all the popular dim sum dishes. I highly recommend giving this place a try

The self-service style made it easy and fun to choose exactly what I wanted. Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor—especially the shrimp dumplings, siu mai, and pork buns. The variety was impressive, and the food was restocked regularly. The restaurant was clean and well-organized, and the staff were helpful when needed. It’s a great place to enjoy casual, delicious dim sum without a long wait. I’ll definitely come back!

Don’t confuse DimSumKing Express with the old restaurant Dim Sum King — this is a completely new restaurant on Bellaire. The new place is modern and very clean. Everything I ordered was delicious and did not disappoint. A big plus is the free hot tea and hot or cold water. Since you serve yourself drinks and condiments like soy sauce and chili sauce, there’s no pressure to leave a tip on the bill. This is the newest dim sum spot in Chinatown, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

I really enjoyed eating here. There was 5 of us in our group. The man who worked at the counter was very helpful. 2 of my friends had never really eaten food like this before so he brought us a menu with pictures on it which was very helpful. The portions are much bigger than we expected. We ordered way too much food but we had a lot of food to take home after we were stuffed. Everything was good. The beef noodles were amazing. I would go back just for those noodles. I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

I came to Dim Sum King Express for a small gathering. We ordered just about everything on the menu, which was smaller than the original Dim Sum King. The service style is a fast food restaurant, just order from the counter and food is brought to the tables. I like the dim sum at Dim Sum King. The food is always made fresh and service is always good. I have been back for noodle soup. Just have to wait for an open seat.

Everything was great Really good dumplings. The shrimp fried rice was delicious. And we really loved the veggies. Overall really good, definitely will come back

King is a self serve dim sum restaurant. There is self serve hot tea and water in the left-hand corner. There was a lot of seating when we went. Inside is a bit small for multiple large groups, however. The portions were large, and we had enough food leftover for the next two days. The hargow and lotus leaf wrapped rice were our favorites. The hargow itself was larger than other hargows in Housto, and the skin was soft and bouncy. One order of the lotus rice came with three, and the rice was moist and chewy. I also really like the friend bean curd with shrimp, which was super crispy. Everything else was pretty fresh and were huge. They were missing a few of our other dim sum essentials such as the turnip cake but other than that, we really enjoyed the large portions and freshness of the dishes!

Newly opened, like its express operation - fill out a dimsum sheet, order at counter, self service water/tea/cutlery, NO tips requested. Dishes are brought out to your table. A short-list of popular Cantonese dimsum and noodles/soup/stir-fry dishes. Fast service and clean, nice ambiance. Reasonable pricing. P.S. This is the second store, down the street from its original store. Both stores are called DimSumKing, so when meeting friends, be sure to specify which location.
